Hurricane Ike Disaster Recovery Housing Program

H-GAC currently has more applications for home repair and reconstruction than funding available. If you complete the forms on the following pages, we will contact you if more funding for disaster recovery housing becomes available.

The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is administering the Hurricane Ike Housing Recovery Program for Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, and Waller counties to repair or replace homes damaged as a result of Hurricane Ike, which made landfall September 13, 2008.

This program covers Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Harris (other than Houston), Fort Bend, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker and Waller counties and all cities therein.
